The Adani Group has significantly accelerated its infrastructure and economic footprint in Maharashtra, with Pranav Adani, director of Adani Enterprises, announcing that projects worth over ₹2.6 trillion have either been completed or are actively under execution as part of a massive ₹6 trillion overarching investment blueprint. Speaking at the launch of the “Invest Maharashtra” event in Mumbai, he emphasized that these comprehensive commitments span crucial sectors including energy, aviation, urban regeneration, data centres, and coal gasification, serving as a vital catalyst for the state’s ambition to achieve a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2030. Highlighting major developments in the aviation and regional connectivity sectors, Adani pointed to the ongoing management of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) alongside the development of the landmark greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport, a transformative infrastructure asset engineered to anchor the Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s growth and manage a capacity of over 90 million passengers annually. Furthermore, the group is heavily scaling up its clean energy ecosystem through high-voltage direct current green power transmission links and extensive pumped-storage hydro initiatives designed to supply round-the-clock green baseload power. By integrating modern aviation gateways with expansive business and hospitality districts, the conglomerate aims to profoundly reshape urban mobility, digital infrastructure, and commercial dynamism across the state, reinforcing public-private partnerships to convert high-level investor intent into tangible on-ground execution as Maharashtra solidifies its position as a primary economic engine for India.
