Bajaj Auto Crushes Q1 Targets with 29% Quarterly Sales Growth

Pune-based automaker Bajaj Auto has posted a stellar performance for June 2026, delivering a robust 28 percent year-on-year increase in total sales. The company sold 463,202 units compared to 360,806 vehicles in the same month last year. While domestic markets showed a steady 11 percent volume growth to reach 209,837 units, the primary engine of growth was a spectacular recovery in the international markets. Total exports for the month spiked by 47 percent year-on-year, touching 253,365 units.

The two-wheeler segment anchored this solid momentum, rising 30 percent globally to hit 389,395 units. Domestic demand for two-wheelers grew by 12 percent, whereas two-wheeler exports experienced a phenomenal 49 percent explosion, accounting for 222,439 units shipped abroad. Simultaneously, Bajaj Auto’s commercial vehicle division logged strong metrics, with total sales increasing 18 percent year-on-year to reach 73,807 units.

This robust monthly close rounded off a highly successful first quarter for the 2027 fiscal year. For the April-to-June quarter, Bajaj Auto’s cumulative sales surged 29 percent year-on-year to reach 14,38,251 units, heavily outpacing previous market estimates. Quarterly domestic sales achieved an 11 percent climb to 706,078 units, while international shipments across the same three-month period grew by 54 percent to 732,173 units. Backed by steady volume traction and surging overseas demand, the automaker enters the new fiscal quarter with massive operational advantages.
