Randeep Hooda appeals for peace during meeting with Manipur Chief Minister

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has appealed to the people of Manipur to work together for peace and harmony during a meeting with Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh at the latter’s official residence in Imphal.Hooda, who was accompanied by his wife and Manipuri actor Linthoingambi Laishram, met the chief minister on Thursday and discussed the prevailing situation in the state, according to an official statement.During the meeting, Hooda congratulated Singh on assuming office as chief minister at a time when Manipur continues to face security and law and order challenges. He appealed to people from all communities to come together as one family and work collectively towards lasting peace and reconciliation.

Responding to the actor’s remarks, Singh acknowledged that he had taken charge during a difficult period but expressed confidence that normalcy would gradually return to the state.The chief minister referred to his recent peace initiative in Jiribam district and said the efforts had helped reduce mistrust among communities. He noted that people in the district had started living together peacefully again, describing it as a positive step towards restoring normalcy.

Singh said the state government was making every effort to protect the lives and interests of citizens and reiterated its commitment to restoring peace across Manipur. He also appealed to all communities to actively support the ongoing peace process and work together to rebuild trust and strengthen social harmony.
