Asian Paints Beats Estimates with Strong First-Quarter Performance

Asian Paints has reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter, with its net profit rising to ₹1,539 crore, surpassing market expectations. The country’s largest paint manufacturer also recorded an 18 per cent increase in revenue during the quarter.

The company’s improved profitability was supported by strategic price increases, which helped offset the impact of higher raw material costs. Rising crude oil prices have increased input expenses for paint manufacturers, as several key ingredients are derived from petroleum-based products.

To protect its margins against cost pressures, Asian Paints recently implemented a price hike of around 12 per cent across its products. The move helped the company maintain profitability despite a challenging cost environment.

Following the announcement of the quarterly results, shares of Asian Paints gained momentum, rising as much as 4.7 per cent to ₹2,864, marking their highest level since January.

The strong quarterly performance reflects the company’s ability to manage cost pressures while maintaining growth in a competitive market. Analysts noted that effective pricing strategies and steady demand conditions supported the company’s performance during the period.

Asian Paints continues to focus on strengthening its market leadership through operational efficiency, product innovation and expansion across key segments of the decorative and industrial paint markets.
