Apple may not offer a black color option for its Pro iPhone models again with the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup, as indicated by a recent leak on Weibo stating the black variant has been “cancelled again.” This would mark the second consecutive year without a black finish, having not included one for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, which were instead launched in colors like deep blue, silver, and cosmic orange. Previous models, such as the iPhone 14 Pro, featured a “Space Black” option. The leak suggests a continuation of similar colors for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, although there is no official confirmation from Apple regarding these options.
In terms of design, the iPhone 18 Pro models are anticipated to retain a similar aesthetic as the iPhone 17 Pro series, including a triple-camera setup. However, the front design may feature modifications such as a smaller Dynamic Island, with possibilities of testing a punch-hole cutout. The display sizes are expected to remain unchanged at 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max.
In terms of camera and performance, the iPhone 18 Pro is likely to introduce a variable aperture in its main camera for improved light control and depth. There are indications of enhanced sensors and telephoto lenses for better low light and zoom performance. The models are expected to be powered by Apple’s forthcoming A20 chipset, based on a 2-nanometer process, which promises faster performance and greater efficiency.
Additionally, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to feature a larger battery for improved battery life and may incorporate Apple’s next-generation C2 modem for enhanced 5G performance and satellite connectivity.
