Samsung is gearing up to unveil its next-generation flagship lineup at its annual Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, with the spotlight firmly on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G. The device is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models.
Unlike previous years, where the focus was largely on higher megapixel counts and raw performance numbers, Samsung is reportedly shifting its strategy toward enhancing overall user experience. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is being positioned not just as a premium smartphone but as a powerful productivity tool designed for professionals and power users.
In terms of pricing, industry tipsters suggest that the S26 Ultra could be introduced at a similar price point as last year’s Ultra model in India. However, the base Galaxy S26 and S26+ variants may see a marginal price hike. Samsung is expected to retain the Ultra as its top-tier flagship offering.
Design-wise, the S26 Ultra is rumored to adopt a refreshed look that aligns more closely with the rest of the S26 lineup. Reports indicate that Samsung may move away from the sharp, boxy design seen in previous Ultra models, opting instead for a more refined and cohesive aesthetic. A slightly thicker chassis could allow room for improvements in battery capacity and camera hardware.
On the display front, the device is expected to feature an upgraded M14 OLED panel, promising better brightness levels and improved power efficiency. Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. While some S26 variants may come equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chipset in select markets, the Ultra model is expected to exclusively feature the Snapdragon chip for enhanced performance. There are also reports of a special overclocked “for Galaxy” version of the processor to give Samsung an edge over rivals.
Artificial intelligence is expected to play a central role in the new flagship. Samsung’s evolving Galaxy AI suite is likely to bring advanced in-house AI tools focused on productivity, real-time assistance, and smarter on-device processing.
One of the most talked-about rumored features is a privacy screen filter, designed to ensure that screen content remains visible only to users directly in front of the device. Combined with Samsung Knox security enhancements, privacy and data protection appear to be key priorities this year.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to compete directly with upcoming flagship rivals such as the iPhone 17 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro, setting the stage for an intense battle in the premium smartphone segment. More official details will emerge at the Galaxy Unpacked event.
