The Pay & Accounts Organisation of the A&N Administration celebrated the 8th A&N Civil Accounts Day with enthusiasm at the TGCE Auditorium on Monday. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Dr. Aman Gupta, Secretary (Finance), along with Dr. Prijith Rekh, Chief Engineer (APWD), and Mr. S. Dasgupta, Director (Accounts & Budget).
A key highlight of the celebration was the launch of the e-Sankalan mobile app by Secretary (Finance) Dr. Aman Gupta. Developed with technical support from SOVTECH, the app serves as a digital repository of Rule Books, Manuals, Office Memoranda, Circulars and other key references of the Government of India and the A&N Administration. It aims to reduce dependence on bulky guard files and ensure quicker access to updated instructions, thereby improving the efficiency of accounts personnel. The app is available on the Google Play Store and can also be downloaded from the portal.
The celebration also featured a vibrant cultural programme presented by staff members and their children, which was widely appreciated.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Aman Gupta commended the enthusiastic observance of the day, including the conduct of various sports activities. Dr. Prijith Rekh praised the impressive talent within the Accounts Cadre—visible both in cultural and sporting performances—and acknowledged their crucial role in ensuring financial accountability and supporting the smooth implementation of government schemes and projects.
Earlier, Mr. Dasgupta delivered the welcome address, underscoring the importance of Civil Accounts Day in strengthening financial governance and enhancing administrative efficiency.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Shadab Rasheed, President, Staff Council.
