Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has signed a six-year Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) framework agreement with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Oman’s leading oil and gas producer. The agreement is aimed at supporting upcoming energy projects in the country and strengthening cooperation between the two organisations.
Under the agreement, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore has been selected as one of four EPC contractors eligible to participate in PDO’s upcoming Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and EPC projects. The company will provide its engineering and project execution expertise to support PDO’s future energy infrastructure requirements.
L&T said the partnership will also contribute to Oman’s In-Country Value (ICV) development by creating opportunities for local suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers while enhancing local capabilities in the energy sector.
L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore is the company’s specialised EPC division focused on upstream, midstream, and downstream hydrocarbon projects. The division has successfully executed major projects across global markets, including refinery expansions, petrochemical complexes, gas processing plants, LNG terminals, fertiliser plants, and cross-country pipeline networks.
Commenting on the agreement, E.S. Sathyanarayanan, Senior Vice President and Head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, said the framework agreement marks an important milestone in the company’s long-standing association with PDO. He added that L&T looks forward to supporting Oman’s development plans through safe, innovative, and sustainable project execution.
The agreement is expected to further strengthen L&T’s presence in the Middle East energy sector while contributing to Oman’s long-term energy and economic growth objectives.
