YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced plans for a grand plenary meeting next year, aiming to mobilize grassroots support and highlight governance failures of the NDA coalition in Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing party leaders in Vijayawada, Jagan emphasized the need to strengthen the party’s base and rejuvenate the cadre ahead of the upcoming elections. He accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of dragging politics to its lowest level through corruption, broken promises, and mafia entanglements.
Jagan stated that the plenary would serve as a platform for party workers to strategize and expose land scams, power tariff hikes, and the scrapping of welfare schemes under Naidu’s administration.
Jagan alleged that the NDA coalition had failed on every front, citing instances where prime land worth thousands of crores was handed over at throwaway prices. He claimed that the Lulu Group received ₹1,500 crore worth of land for just ₹1, while another company was allotted ₹3,000 crore worth of land for a pittance.
Additionally, he criticized the government for burdening the public by purchasing power at ₹4.60 per unit, compared to ₹2.49 per unit during his tenure, which he said was meant to benefit farmers.
Jagan urged party leaders to work hard in their respective districts, connect with the cadre, and mobilize grassroots support by highlighting the government’s unkept promises. He expressed confidence that YSRCP would return to power, stating that people were angry with the coalition government and would reject Naidu’s leadership.
