What is iPhone Pocket?

Apple has introduced a new accessory called the iPhone Pocket, designed to carry iPhones along with other small items. The tech giant collaborated with fashion house ISSEY MIYAKE on the concept, which draws inspiration from “a piece of cloth” and features a 3D-knitted design that can fit any iPhone. The development was carried out in Japan in close coordination with the Apple Design Studio.

Yoshiyuki Miyamae, design director at MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO, explained that the iPhone Pocket celebrates “the joy of wearing iPhone in your own way,” with a minimalist design that allows personal interpretation, echoing ISSEY MIYAKE’s philosophy of leaving forms less defined. The accessory features a ribbed, open structure reminiscent of the brand’s iconic pleats and can be used in multiple ways—handheld, attached to bags, worn on sleeves, or across the body with a long strap.

The iPhone Pocket fully encloses the device while accommodating other essentials, and users can easily peek inside by stretching it open. Pricing starts at $149.95 for the short-strap version and $229.95 for the long-strap design. It will be available from 14 November in selected countries, with various color options depending on the design.
