Volvo has introduced its most affordable electric SUV, the EX30, in the Indian market at an introductory price of ₹39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This offer is valid for bookings made before October 19, 2025, after which the price will rise to ₹41 lakh. Deliveries are set to begin in the first week of November.

The EX30 is Volvo’s third locally assembled EV, built on Geely’s SEA platform and positioned below the EX40 and EC40. It features a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive setup producing 272 bhp and 343 Nm of torque, with a 69 kWh battery offering up to 490 km range (WLTP). The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.

Key features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 1040W Harman Kardon sound system, recycled interior materials, wireless charging, and advanced safety tech like adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera.

Volvo offers a 3-year vehicle warranty, 8-year battery warranty, 3-year service package, and 5-year Connect Plus subscription. The EX30 will compete with models like the BMW iX1, Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Sealion 7, and Kia EV6.

Jyoti Malhotra, MD of Volvo Car India, said the EX30 is designed to attract younger buyers seeking sustainable luxury and performance.
