‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ movie hit the box office in its 3rd day of releasing
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video shows the most success hitting a roadblock. A film so dull and unfunny that not even Rajkummar Rao could redeem it. Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video begins with Vicky a mehendi artisan and Vidya deceiving their family into marrying them. The couple recorded their honeymoon video in Goa which goes missing, sparking a wild goose chase over Rishikesh. This chaos enter a slew of stereotyped characters, including a clashing set of loud parents who chew paan masala throughout the film.
Rao and Dimri are both excellent actors with strong chemistry, which is one of the film’s few redeeming qualities. Rao can now play the small-town person with his eyes closed, so this is not a difficult task for him. Dimri should have been the focal point in a film about a sex video going missing, is given little to do. Although the film touches on the sorrow and anguish that such an incident might bring, it does so insufficiently. When she loses it after hearing about the video, the problem is quickly resolved, and we move on to yet another beautifully staged comedy that falls flat. The final nail in the coffin is Rao’s successful film franchise Stree, which features a red sari-clad malevolent spirit. It is completely superficial and useless. The same can be stated of the film, for despite the discourse on women’s rights and equality, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video appears shallow and, ultimately, pointless.
