TVS Motor Company has introduced a new variant of the Raider in India, featuring several new additions without major mechanical or design changes. This updated model brings four unique features that set it apart from other 125 cc motorcycles in its segment.
One key upgrade is the inclusion of dual disc brakes along with a single-channel ABS. The rear disc brake enhances braking performance, while the ABS prevents the front wheel from locking during sudden braking.
The Raider also incorporates Boost Mode with iGo Assist technology, providing an extra 0.55 Nm of torque useful for quick overtaking. This system also integrates an Integrated Starter Generator with an auto start/stop function, which turns off the engine at stops and restarts it automatically to improve fuel efficiency.
Glide Through Technology, initially introduced in TVS Apache motorcycles, is now part of the Raider. It enables smooth crawling in city traffic without throttle input by automatically raising engine revs to prevent stalling.
Cosmetically, the top-end Raider Dual Disc variant features metallic silver bodywork, a split seat, and red alloy wheels. Wider tires further improve grip and stability.
