The TSG Charitable Foundation successfully organized a state-level drawing competition in Hyderabad, bringing together over 500 students from across Telangana to showcase their artistic talents. The event, held as part of the 6th Telangana State Level Drawing Competition 2025, was conducted in collaboration with Cultivating Art, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting creative expression among children.
Participants ranged from pre-schoolers to Class X students, competing across six age-based categories. The competition aimed not only to celebrate artistic skill but also to raise awareness about social responsibility. This year’s theme focused on the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Mission, encouraging students to depict ideas related to sanitation, waste management, and clean living environments through their artwork.
The event was structured in three phases—school-level, district-level, and state-level—with the Hyderabad gathering marking the culmination of the district-level rounds. Students were provided with drawing materials including sheets, crayons, and watercolors, and given 60 minutes to complete their entries. Judging criteria included creativity, relevance to the theme, technique, and overall presentation.
In addition to participation certificates, the competition offered over 300 cash prizes worth ₹3 lakh, 4,500 medals, and special awards for schools and teachers. Organizers emphasized the importance of integrating art with civic education, noting that such initiatives help foster both creativity and community awareness among young learners.
Representatives from TSG Charitable Foundation expressed gratitude to participating schools, parents, and volunteers for their support. “We believe art is a powerful medium to inspire change. Through this competition, we hope to nurture not just artists, but responsible citizens,” said a spokesperson.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony honoring winners and contributors. Plans are already underway for the state-level finals, expected to draw thousands more students from across Telangana.
