Triumph Motorcycles India has introduced its fifth 400cc platform model, the Thruxton 400 – the brand’s first affordable café racer. Alongside the launch, Triumph also raised the prices of the Scrambler 400 X, now starting at ₹2,67,731 — ₹1,731 more than before. The Speed 400 has also seen a price hike, now retailing at ₹2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Despite the price increase, the motorcycles remain mechanically unchanged and continue to feature the same colour options introduced in the 2025 update, including Matt Khaki Green with Fusion White and Volcano Red with Phantom Black.
The Scrambler 400 X is powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and slip-assist clutch. It gets a 43mm USD fork with 150mm travel up front and a rear preload-adjustable monoshock.
Riding on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels with dual-purpose tyres, the bike uses a 300mm front and 230mm rear disc setup with dual-channel ABS. The rear ABS can be disabled for better off-road traction.
