The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Air are expected to have 12GB of RAM storage

Apple is preparing for the iPhone 17 series launch in September, featuring major upgrades in design, performance, camera, and possibly an ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air.
iPhone 17 series RAM upgrade
Last year, Apple unveiled 8GB of RAM for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, and iPhone 16 Plus models to enhance support for Apple Intelligence with A18 chips. Currently, the forthcoming iPhone 17 series is anticipated to receive a significant RAM upgrade, which could entice potential buyers. A tipster known as Fixed Focus Digital has indicated that the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max are likely to feature 12GB of RAM. In contrast, the standard iPhone 17 model may retain the 8GB RAM capacity of its predecessor.
This same information was corroborated by Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo; however, it remains unclear whether the base variant will be equipped with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. This uncertainty arises from RAM supply limitations, as well as the trend observed in the previous generation, where all iPhone 16 models were equipped with 8GB of RAM. Now, the iPhone 17 Pro models, featuring 12GB of RAM and the A19 Pro chip, could deliver even more robust and efficient performance.
Apple is introducing camera enhancements to iPhone 17 models, including a 24MP selfie camera and a 48MP periscope lens, with more details to be revealed later this year.
