The illegal Caddlegunj jungle liquor production is dismantled by the OP Ferrargunj team

The team from OP Ferrargunj under PS Ograbraj successfully interrupted an illegal liquor production operation in the Caddlegunj jungle on November 26, 2024, and seized a significant amount of illicit lehan in the process. ASI Abdul Salam, who was in charge of OP Ferrargunj, assembled a team consisting of PC VM Shahid, PC Samsuddin, and HC Khokan Duuta to execute the operation in response to reliable intelligence.

165 liters of illegal lehan were seized by the crew, along with the tools and wood needed to make it. The illegal liquor trade in the region was severely crippled when all of the confiscated goods were promptly burned. SI Devanand Pathak, SHO PS Ograbraj, led the operation, while Mr. Brij Mohan Meena, DANIPS, SDPO Bambooflat, oversaw it. Ms. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District, provided general direction.
