The Art and Culture Department hosts a book fair that is visited by many schools

The National Book Trust and the Department of Art and Culture, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, organized a “Book Fair” at ITF Ground, Sri Vijaya Puram, from April 1–10, 2025, and a “Literature Festival” at TGCE Auditorium from March 27–29, 2025. During the “Literature Festival,” students from different school levels in the South Andaman and Wimberlygunj Education Zones took part in a variety of competitions.

At the “Book Fair” closing ceremony on April 10, 2025, the winners of various contests were congratulated. In order to foster the habit of reading books, provide them with creative ideas, and broaden their knowledge, students from 50 schools within these zones were also invited to attend the Book Fair. Every day, some 250 pupils were taken by teachers to the location and returned to their classrooms. The “Book Fair” benefited 2,500 pupils in total.
