The Anti-Narcotics police station conducted a successful operation in Sri Vijaya Puram

155 grams of ganja were seized after a successful operation by the Anti-Narcotics Police Station at Sri Vijaya Puram, and 24-year-old Gourab Mridha was taken into custody. After receiving a tip, Inspector Pritam Behari, SHO of the Anti-Narcotics Police Station, conducted the raid close to the Junglighat Post Office. About Mridha, a chef at a hotel in Dollygunj, who was supposed to receive a package containing illegal substances, Inspector Pritam Behari obtained reliable information. According to reports, Speed Post was used to send the package. A raiding squad led by Dy. SP Palak Goel (DANIPS) was assembled based on this information, and they went to the site.
Near the Registrar of Co-operative Societies office, Mridha was seen leaving the post office with a package and was apprehened by the police. Following the issuance of a notice under Section 50 of the NDPS Act, the police team conducted the search in front of impartial witnesses. They found two black plastic polythene bags with a dry, leafy substance concealed inside a pair of shoes within the package. A preliminary drug test indicated that the material tested positive for ganja. The drugs that were seized weighed 155 grams in total. The Ganja was sealed after the finding, and the package and shoes were taken under an official seizure memo.
