The Aadhaar e-KYC will be utilized by the railways for recruitment purposes

Railways intends to implement Aadhaar-based facial recognition technology at all recruitment centres within a span of four months, with the objective of enhancing the integrity, transparency, and candidate-friendliness of the recruitment process.

Aadhaar e-KYC will be utilized to verify candidates’ identities at multiple stages, such as during application submission, exam registration, and post-exam evaluation. The use of real-time face matching technology guarantees that the same individual is present for the exam, thereby mitigating the risks of impersonation.
The Ministry is implementing facial recognition in recruitment centres to enhance exam integrity and fairness, demonstrating the Railways’ commitment to reform and innovation.
