TCS CEO K Krithivasan’s Pay Jumps 4.6% to ₹26.52 Crore in FY25

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) CEO K Krithivasan saw a 4.6% increase in his total compensation for FY25, bringing his earnings to ₹26.52 crore. The details were revealed in TCS’s annual report, which highlighted executive pay, employee salary hikes, and the company’s financial performance.
- ₹1.39 crore as base salary
- ₹2.13 crore in benefits, perquisites, and allowances
- ₹23 crore in commission
His total earnings are nearly 330 times the median salary of TCS’s 6.07 lakh employees.
While Krithivasan’s pay saw a modest increase, TCS employees received average salary hikes between 5.5% and 7.5%, factoring in promotions. The company promoted 1.1 lakh employees during the fiscal year, with top performers in India receiving double-digit percentage hikes.
Krithivasan’s earnings remain lower than some of his industry counterparts:
- Infosys CEO Salil Parekh earned ₹66 crore in FY25
- Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte received ₹166 crore, one of the highest pay packages in the IT sector
Despite rapid shifts in the technology landscape, TCS scaled back its research and development (R&D) investment in FY25. The company spent ₹2,630 crore on R&D, down from ₹2,751 crore in FY24.
TCS’s management acknowledged global economic challenges, citing geopolitical tensions, financial market volatility, and policy uncertainties as key risks. However, they remain optimistic about innovation-driven growth and AI adoption.
TCS reported that women make up 35% (2.14 lakh) of its total workforce. The company also disclosed 125 cases of sexual harassment in FY25, up from 110 cases in the previous fiscal, with 23 complaints pending resolution as of March-end.
Krithivasan’s pay hike aligns with industry trends, reflecting TCS’s stable financial position despite global uncertainties. As the IT sector navigates economic headwinds, executive compensation remains a key indicator of corporate performance and leadership strategy.
