The Department of Education, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, is all set to host ‘TARANG’, a grand solo singing and dance competition designed to provide school students with a vibrant stage to showcase their artistic flair. The event is open to students from all schools across the islands and has been divided into three categories: Juniors (Classes I–V), Middle (Classes VI–VIII), and Seniors (Classes IX–XII). ‘TARANG’ aims to celebrate the creativity and performing skills of young learners while encouraging a deeper appreciation of the arts.
Auditions for the competition will be held on June 10, 2025, at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sri Vijaya Puram. Singing auditions are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by dance auditions from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Students have been urged to put their best foot forward for a chance to compete in the grand finale. The much-anticipated finale will be held on June 17, 2025, at the same venue. Organizers are confident that the event will not only unearth raw talent but also instill confidence, passion, and a lasting love for performing arts in participants.
