Sunny Deol spoke the fight with Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Chopra on Darr is over now as ‘everyone knew who was right and who was wrong’

Sunny Deol spoke about his fight with Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Chopra during the shooting of Darr and said that he is over it now.
Actors Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan had a cold war for decades after working together in Yash Chopra’s 1993 film Darr. Nearly two decades after the film’s release, the two put their bad blood behind them and Shah Rukh went to support Sunny at the success party of his film Gadar 2.
Now, it seems the two have reconciled, as Sunny has expressed his desire to work with Shah Rukh. He also hinted that they have moved on from that fight as “everyone knew who was right and who was wrong.”
Sunny told News18 Summit that he would love to work with other stars in a multi-starrer film and said, “There are so many stars, I can work with any of them. I recently said that I have worked with Shah Rukh in Darr, so I don’t mind doing another film with him. Let’s see what we can do now,” he said.
The actor was then asked about their infamous fight during Darr and he said, “Fights keep happening, then people also make up.” When asked if he is still angry with Shah Rukh or late director Yash Chopra, Sunny said, “I was not that angry. Whatever happened, happened, that time has passed.
After that, everyone knew who was right and who was wrong, so there is no point in repeating it again. Otherwise, how will we move forward?” Reportedly, the differences between Yash Chopra and the two actors arose because he narrated different versions of the script to them.
Sunny did not know that his role was not as important as Shah Rukh’s. Sunny held a grudge over this for a long time and never worked with Yash Raj Films again.
At that time, Shah Rukh’s role was offered to actor Aamir Khan, who requested that Yash do a joint script narration, so that everyone was on the same page. Yash Chopra refused to do so and so Aamir was removed from the project.
“Yash ji did not feel that he should give a joint narration. On this basis, I was removed from the project,” he told journalist Sushma Dutt at the time. During filming, Sunny was very upset with the progress of the shoot and at one point, he tore his pants with his bare hands.
“I had a heated argument with Yash Chopra over that scene. I tried to explain to him that I am a commando officer in the film. My character is an expert and fit, then how can this guy beat me so easily? He can beat me if I can’t see him. If he can stab me while looking at me, I won’t be called a commando,” Sunny said in an appearance on Aap Ki Adalat.
“Soon, in anger I did not even realise that I had torn my pants with my own hands,” he said.
