SBI RSETI completes a 10-day fast food stall skills training program successfully for specially abled women

Specially abled women from the Composite Regional Center (CRC), Brookshabad, have completed a 10-day fast food stall training program at the State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI), Sri Vijaya Puram. 17 Divyangjan trainees participated in the initiative, which was launched on January 17 in partnership with the faculty and principal of the Dr. BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT). Ms. Sumithamol, Director of CRC Brookshabad, and Chief Guest Mr. L. Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Social Welfare, Education, and Sports, graced the farewell occasion.

The director of SBI RSETI, Mr. C. Raj, welcomed everyone and praised DBRAIT and CRC Brookshabad for their vital contributions to the program’s success. “This was the first skill development initiative by SBI RSETI focused exclusively on specially abled women to empower them towards self-reliance,” stressed Mr. Siddhartha Gupta, Regional Manager, SBI. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to DBRAIT for their unwavering support throughout the training. In order to guarantee accessibility, SBI RSETI made arrangements for the trainees’ transportation and gave five deaf and mute participants a sign language interpreter.

A number of trainees expressed their experiences during the event, demonstrating their confidence in the abilities they had learned. Mr. L. Kumar urged the participants, commended them for their commitment, and suggested that CRC help the trainees establish a self-help group so they may maintain and develop their newly learned abilities. Mr. P. Kaliswaran, a faculty member of SBI RSETI, gave a vote of gratitude at the end of the event, signaling the accomplishment of this historic project in the skill development of women with disabilities.
