SBI Donates Smart Board to CRC A&N Islands Under CSR Initiative

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the State Bank of India (SBI) has donated a smart board to the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The move aims to promote digital inclusion and enhance educational and training facilities for persons with disabilities in the region.

The donation was made during a formal event attended by officials from SBI and CRC, along with local dignitaries. The smart board is expected to significantly improve interactive learning and skill development sessions conducted at the CRC, which serves as a vital support center for differently-abled individuals across the islands.

SBI representatives emphasized the bank’s ongoing commitment to social welfare and inclusive development. “We believe technology should empower everyone. This smart board will help bridge the digital divide and support CRC’s mission to uplift lives through education and rehabilitation,” said an SBI official.

The CRC team expressed gratitude for the contribution, noting that the smart board will be instrumental in delivering more engaging and effective training programs. The initiative aligns with broader national goals of accessibility and digital empowerment.

This CSR gesture by SBI reinforces its role not just as a financial institution, but as a socially responsible entity dedicated to community development and inclusive growth.
