Samsung’s One UI 8.5 Beta to Begin December 8

Samsung is gearing up to launch its much-anticipated One UI 8.5 beta program, with leaks suggesting the rollout will begin on December 8, 2025. The first phase of the beta will reportedly be available to users in the United States, United Kingdom, South Korea, and Germany, giving early testers access to the upcoming features before the wider release.

According to industry tipsters, the second phase of the beta is expected to start on December 22, 2025, expanding access to users in India and Poland. A possible third phase could follow in early January 2026, marking the final stage of testing before the official launch.

One UI 8.5, based on Android 16, is expected to introduce several new features, including enhanced customization options for the quick settings panel, improved performance, and deeper AI-driven functionalities. The update will first arrive on the Galaxy S25 series, with Samsung planning to unveil the stable version alongside the upcoming Galaxy S26 series in 2026.

The beta program will allow Samsung to gather feedback from users across multiple regions, helping the company refine the software ahead of its global release. While timelines are subject to change, the early December rollout indicates that Galaxy users won’t have to wait long to experience the next evolution of Samsung’s custom interface.
