Ravi Kishan says his wife locked him in Bigg Boss because she thought he was ‘going mad’

Ravi Kishan first gained national fame when he appeared in the first season of Bigg Boss and his catchphrase ‘zindagi jhandwa phir bhi ghamandwa’ became popular among the masses.

19 years later, Ravi has now said that it was his wife’s idea to ‘lock’ him in the show as he started getting too arrogant about his success. In a recent interview, Ravi said that his wife thought he was ‘going mad’ so she decided to send him to the show.

Speaking to YouTube channel Camera7, Ravi Kishan was asked if he ever got arrogant about his success and the actor recalled this phase of his life. “That’s when my wife took me to Bigg Boss and locked me in there. He thought he was going mad.

I had too much money at that time. I used to work in three shifts those days. I was working in 17 films at the same time. I used to sleep in my car and would only sleep when I was going from one set to another. At one point, I was shooting for five films in the same studio,” he said.

Ravi said that since he had spent so many years just looking for work, he wanted to make the most of the opportunity that he was finally getting. “I had no work, no money, so when I got work, I didn’t want to lose it,” he said, adding, “So somewhere, I started getting arrogant. That’s when my wife locked me in Bigg Boss for three months.

That’s when everyone started liking me and they weren’t even kicking me out. When I came out of there, it felt like three years had passed.” Ravi said that in Bigg Boss, a day felt like a week and since he had a lot of time and no distractions, he spent a lot of time with his thoughts. He said, “There I got some clarity about love, relationships and I came out as a sorted person. After that I got good offers in Bollywood, I became a politician.”

Ravi is currently an MP from Gorakhpur. He also works as an actor and was recently seen in Missing Ladies and Netflix series Maalaa Legal Hai.
