Rashtriya Hindu Front Submits Population Control Memorandum to A&N Chief Secretary

Port Blair, July 14 — The Rashtriya Hindu Front (RHF) has formally submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, urging the implementation of a stringent population control law across India. The move aligns with the organization’s long-standing advocacy for demographic regulation as a means to ensure sustainable development and national welfare.
The memorandum, presented on the occasion of World Population Day, reiterates RHF’s demand for a national-level policy that addresses unchecked population growth. RHF leaders emphasized that the issue transcends religious and community boundaries, framing it as a collective national concern. “Population control is essential for the country’s future stability and resource management,” stated RHF representatives during the submission.
The delegation included senior members of the organization’s state unit, who called on citizens and political groups from all backgrounds to support the initiative. They warned that continued demographic imbalance could strain infrastructure, disrupt communal harmony, and hinder economic progress.
This action follows similar appeals made by RHF in other regions, including a recent press conference in Guwahati where the group highlighted the urgency of legislative intervention. The organization has been vocal on the issue for over a decade, citing rising population figures as a threat to equitable development.
The Chief Secretary acknowledged receipt of the memorandum and assured that the concerns would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for consideration. RHF plans to continue its campaign through public awareness drives and further engagements with policymakers.
