Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda mark new beginnings with Satyanarayana Vratam in Thummanapeta

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, an actor couple, were married in Udaipur on February 26. At their new residence in Thummanapeta, Telangana, they conducted their Satyanarayana Vratam puja and gruhapravesam (entering the house). Before entering their new home, the couple was greeted by the villagers with music and dancing, in addition to the customary harati (aarti). Vijay chose a green-and-white kurta for the vratam, while Rashmika donned a gray saree and was adorned with gold jewelry.

Wearing red and gold, his mother Madhavi was spotted instructing the other elders and locals on how to carry out the rites. The pair waited for the ceremonies to start while holding hands gently with Vijay’s brother, Anand Deverakonda, and Rashmika’s sister, Shiman Mandanna. Many people attended the celebration, which included folk dance and music to welcome them to their new home. As they entered the new house, a woman took their dishti (nazar) and conducted a traditional harati. Rashmika was spotted grinning broadly and enthusiastically welcoming everyone in the room.

Tents were erected to house the visitors at their new residence in the Mahbubnagar district (modern-day Nagarkurnool), which was illuminated. The preparations prepared for the couple’s arrival to their new residence are also depicted in a social media video. At their new house, Rashmika and Vijay did the Satyanarayana Vratam, a customary puja that newlyweds perform to give thanks to God for a successful wedding and to start a new chapter in their life with blessings.
