Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to Miss AICC Session Due to Overseas Commitments

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress, will not be attending the All India Congress Committee (AICC) session scheduled in Ahmedabad on April 8–9, 2025. According to party sources, she is currently abroad attending to a relative who requires medical assistance.

Her absence has sparked some political discussions, especially since she also missed the recent Extended Congress Working Committee meeting and the final leg of Parliament’s Budget Session. During these sessions, key resolutions were discussed, including strategies for the Congress party’s revival and upcoming elections.

The AICC session itself is a significant event, focusing on party reforms, grassroots empowerment, and crafting a roadmap for upcoming elections. Around 1,700 delegates are expected to participate, making it a pivotal moment for the Congress party. Despite her absence, the session is expected to proceed with major decisions on the party’s future strategies.
