PDS food grains for January and February 2025 will be available for purchase to all ration card holders

According to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, all Union Territory ration card holders would be able to purchase food grains under the Public Distribution System (PDS) in one go for January and February 2025. In January 2025, recipients can pick up the food grains in accordance with their entitlement for both months during a single distribution session.
All National Food Security Act (NFSA) recipients, including Priority Household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) households, would also receive subsidized sugar. Between April 2024 and March 2025, 1 kilogram of sugar will be given out per card each month. Beginning January 1, 2025, the distribution price will be Rs. 15 per kilogram for AAY households and Rs. 30 per kg for PHH households.
Holders of ration cards have been notified that from January 1 to February 28, 2025, they can pick up their food grains for both January and February 2025. In February 2025, those who are unable to pick up their rations in January will still have the opportunity to do so. The goal of this combined distribution is to guarantee that all recipients will have prompt access to necessary food supplies.
