Pankaj Kapoor says he spoils his grandchildren Misha and Zain, calls them ‘no-rule men’: ‘He’s not Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput…’
Veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor, who is the father of actor Shahid Kapoor, recently revealed about spoiling his son’s children Misha and Zain. Pankaj recently shared in an interview that he loves spoiling his grandchildren and said that he does not have any rules for his grandchildren when they come to his house.
While talking to News18 Shosha, Pankaj said that he likes to call him ‘no-rule man’. “I think I will ruin my grandchildren. They call me Baba. Once, my grandson’s cousin came to my house with him, and she asked him what he should call me. This little thing about me, my grandson asked him to call me a ‘no-rule man’ (laughs),” he said.
Pankaj then explained that, “The reason behind this is that I have always told my grandchildren that when they come to Baba’s house, there are no rules for them, and they can do whatever they want. This is their thrill. Every time they are at their baba’s house, they don’t need to ask me if they want to do something.
Pankaj’s first marriage was to Neelima Azeem, mother of actor Shahid Kapoor. After separation, he married actor Supriya Pathak. They have 2 children – Sanah and Ruhaan. While Pankaj is an active part of his grandchildren’s lives, his interactions with Shahid were “limited” during their growing up years. Shahid had earlier told Mid-Day, “My father was not in Delhi, so till I turned 10 and shifted to Bombay, I would meet him maybe once a year.Due to the nature of distance, interaction was limited. Once I moved to Bombay, I had more time in and around… we found our base.”
