Owaisi Demands Arrest of MP Minister Shah Over ‘Scum’ Remark on Col Qureshi

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly condemned Madhya Pradesh minister Vijay Shah for his remarks on Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, calling him “scum” and demanding his immediate arrest.

During a public event in Indore, Shah allegedly referred to Col Qureshi as the “sister of terrorists,” sparking outrage across political and military circles. The Madhya Pradesh High Court took suo motu cognizance of the matter, leading to an FIR against Shah for his comments, which the court deemed an insult to the armed forces.

Owaisi, in a fiery statement, insisted that Shah’s remarks reflected communal bias and hatred. He urged the BJP-led state government to remove Shah from his ministerial position and take legal action against him. “He should hate terrorism, not a Muslim name,” Owaisi stated, emphasizing that Col Qureshi is a distinguished officer serving the nation.
