Nitish criticises RJD MLA for bringing mobile phone inside Bihar assembly

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar criticized RJD MLA Suday Yadav for using a mobile phone during a state assembly session. This incident occurred during the Question Hour when Yadav referred to his phone for facts and figures to support his argument. Nitish Kumar, emphasizing the long-standing prohibition of mobile phones in the assembly, urged Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav to enforce the rule strictly. He even suggested that anyone entering the House with a phone should be made to leave.

Interestingly, Nitish Kumar, who is known to be tech-savvy, admitted to having been an avid smartphone user himself but claimed to have given it up. He also made a dramatic statement, warning that excessive use of electronic gadgets could “destroy the Earth in 10 years.”

This incident has sparked discussions about the use of technology in legislative spaces and the balance between tradition and modernity.
