Nissan has launched the fourth-generation Roox kei car in Japan, a longtime bestseller in its domestic market. The new Roox sets a new standard for kei cars by combining fun design, advanced technology, and spacious interiors—features usually found in larger vehicles. Sales are expected to start later this year, with prices beginning around 1.6 million yen. The Roox boasts a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, the largest ever in the kei segment, featuring NissanConnect with built-in Google. It also introduces the Intelligent Around View Monitor with 3D view, Invisible Hood View, and wide-angle visibility to make urban driving and parking easier.
Inside, the Roox offers a leading interior length of 2,315 mm, comfortably seating four adults. Rear sliding doors with wide openings enhance access, while smart storage, redesigned seats, and soundproofing create a cozy, living room-like feel. Improvements in fuel efficiency, noise reduction, suspension, and safety—including ProPILOT and emergency braking—further elevate this compact car. The Roox’s playful design includes new two-tone paint options and 17 color choices.
