NCC SNIC 2025 commences at Brichgunj Military Station

The Brichgunj Military Station hosted the inaugural Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) 2025, a premier event coordinated by the Andaman NCC Units under the auspices of the NCC Directorate (Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman and Nicobar). The 12-day program seeks to foster cultural peace and national cohesion among young people from all parts of the nation. Col. T. Hariteja, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ Chennai ‘A’, graced the inauguration ceremony and underlined the significance of such initiatives in overcoming regional and cultural boundaries.

During his speech, he encouraged cadets to get involved in events that foster tolerance for one another and an understanding of India’s diverse culture. 180 cadets have joined the program, including 95 cadets from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and 85 participants from 17 NCC Directorates around the country. The spirit of unity in variety is exemplified by this mix of participants. Sub Lt. Dr. Kusum Kumari (ANO) added to the enriching experience by giving a session on the distinctive culture and heritage of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which gave the participants insightful information.

Prominent dignitaries, including Lt. Cdr. Reyaz Farooq and Col. Pankaj Modgil, Commanding Officers of the Andaman NCC’s Army and Naval Wings, as well as PI Staff, ANOs, and GCIs, attended the inauguration event. Their participation demonstrated the importance of the camp in helping young cadets develop a sense of unity and patriotism. As the cadets celebrate the nation’s unmatched variety and harmony, the camp is expected to be a life-changing event that instills a sense of pride and belonging.
