A private bus was buried in heavy debris in the Bilaspur region of Himachal Pradesh due to a huge landslide that claimed at least 15 lives. Rescue efforts are ongoing, and several passengers are still thought to be stranded. According to Rahul Kumar, the Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur, three people have been saved alive thus far. “The precise number is still unknown, but there were more than 30 people on the bus,” he said. When a lot of dirt and debris tumbled down a hillside close to Ballu Bridge, they crashed straight onto a private bus on the Marotan–Kalaul route. The car was totally buried under rubble by the landslide’s force. Rescue crews and villagers are working nonstop to reach the trapped passengers, as a JCB is seen cleaning the debris in a video taken from the scene.
A portion of the bus broke off under the weight of the rubble, demonstrating the mudslide’s destructive impact. The Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Authority, police, and firefighters have hurried to the scene and are working to clear the debris and carry out rescue operations. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed sorrow over the incident and offered the families of the victims his sympathies. In order to guarantee prompt rescue and relief efforts, the Chief Minister stated that he is keeping a close eye on the situation and communicates with the district administration on a regular basis.
