Maruti Suzuki Victoris Rivalling Nissan SUV Snapped Testing

Nissan is preparing to introduce a new compact SUV in the Indian market, following its earlier announcement to launch two new SUVs—a compact model and a 7-seater. The compact SUV has been spotted again during testing, featuring heavy black camouflage, yet offering glimpses of its design cues. Positioned to compete with the Hyundai Creta and recently launched Maruti Suzuki Victorious, the SUV sports a bold design.

At the front, the SUV showcases a Patrol-inspired look with LED reflectors and distinctive L-shaped LED DRLs. Its clamshell bonnet, muscular body cladding, and roof rails give it a rugged and aggressive appearance. The side profile reveals a boxy shape similar to the new Renault Duster, with large windows and seemingly bigger wheels than most compact SUVs currently available in India.

While interior details are still under wraps, expected features include a large touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, six airbags, and more. Engine options may include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol producing 152 bhp and 250 Nm torque.
