In honor of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’s 19th anniversary, director Karan Johar posted a number of behind-the-scenes photos from the film’s production on Monday. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherji, and Amitabh Bachchan. The images and a video document Karan’s unscripted interactions with the actors on the movie set. His third film as a filmmaker was the romance drama. “Some love tales endure and retain all of their previous potency… That’s what KANK will always be to me. After completing my third movie, I was once again moved by the absolute honor of having such wonderful people on set with me to make a story that was bold…brave and full of only heart” Johar posted on Instagram.
Themes of broken relationships and marital adultery were examined in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. The film, which is mostly set in New York City, centers on the romance between Dev (Shah Rukh) and Maya (Rani), who fall in love with one another while being married to other people. The commercially successful film, which debuted on August 11, 2006, became the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of the year. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra said, “Memories for life.. New York,” in response to Johar’s post. Shalini Passi, an actor from Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives and an industry buddy, referred to the movie as “fabulous” in the comments area. Regarding his forthcoming projects, Johar is working on Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
