John Abraham reacts to journalist being called ‘idiot’ at Veda event: ‘He was put there to make me angry’

Actor John Abraham, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Veda, recently got into a public argument with an entertainment journalist at the trailer launch of the film. When John was asked about doing films out of his comfort zone, the actor responded by calling the man an “idiot”.

Now, in a new interview, the actor stands by his actions, insisting the man “deserved it.” He also said that the journalist was “planted there” to “provoke” him.

In a conversation with Ranveer Allahabadia on his YouTube channel, John said, “I know that a man was put there to harass me, to annoy me, to provoke me and I want to say that he “I won and I lost because I got to win.” Angry.” John said that he hasn’t attended a press conference in a long time, so he is “out of practice.” He added that he doesn’t like trailer launch events anyway.

John said that, “I don’t like trailer launches because it’s like you’re time traveling back 20 years. It’s the same journalists, the same absurd questions, no one is asking the right questions and in my opinion, entertainment Journalism is dead in India, no one asks intelligent questions.”
The actor then said that the person who recently asked him a question about his choice of films was probably there to provoke him and get a reaction from him.

“There was a boy sitting there. There must be some boss above him who must have told him to promote me because it would give us satisfaction and he did just that.At that time, I reacted. He did not win, I lost because I am bigger than him. Maybe I shouldn’t have done this, but it happened. Was it worth it? Yes, he deserved it but I moved on. In just a minute, I got back on track and focused on myself.

At the said event, the journalist had asked whether the actor was focusing only on action films and said, “Kuch naya laayi na sir (Do some different films, sir).” Clearly annoyed, Ibrahim hit back, “Have you seen the movie (Veda)? “Can I call out bad questions and idiots?” He then said, “Since you haven’t seen the film yet…Maybe watch the movie first and then decide. After that I am completely yours. whatever you say. But if you’re wrong, I’ll turn you over and tear you to pieces.”

Veda will be released on 15th August.
