The Island Coconut Festival 2025, a two-day extravaganza celebrating the rich coconut heritage of the islands, kicks off today at 2 PM at the ITF Pavilion in Sri Vijaya Puram. Organized by the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with various allied departments and associations, this year’s theme—“Celebrating Coconut: Culture, Cuisine & Crafts”—aims to highlight the multifaceted significance of coconut in local traditions and sustainable livelihoods.
