India’s Sports Authority launches a poster contest to encourage fitness
In honor of FIT India Week 2024, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports’ Sports Authority of India (SAI) is holding a poster contest to raise awareness of fitness among Indian educators, parents, students, and educational institutions. The goal of FIT India Week, an annual event under the Fit India Movement, which was started in 2019, is to promote a fitness and health-conscious culture throughout the country. To involve individuals of all ages, this week-long celebration features a range of events, including yoga classes, sports competitions, fitness challenges, and awareness initiatives.
Schoolchildren up to the age of eighteen are invited to take part in a poster competition as part of the festivities in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. “FIT India, Healthy India” and “Sports For Tribals/Indigenous Groups” are the competition’s themes. Posters must be submitted by participants on regular drawing paper, regardless of size. On the back of the submission, you must include details such your name, date of birth, class, and school name.
The deadline is December 24, 2024. On business days, posters can be turned in at the Sports Authority of India office at Netaji Stadium in Sri Vijaya Puram between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM. On behalf of their students, schools and colleges may also submit entries jointly. The first place winner will receive Rs. 10,000, the second place winner will receive Rs. 5,000, and the third place winner will receive Rs. 2,000 in cash rewards. The goal of this project is to encourage young people to express the value of exercise in innovative ways.
