In Greater Noida, the World Boxing Cup Finals will start on November 14

The globe Boxing Cup Finals 2025, which will be held from November 14–21 at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida, will feature the best fighters in the globe vying for glory. The week-long event, which is being hosted by India for the first time, will feature top boxers, including the champions of the 2025 stage, vying for the famous World Boxing Cup trophy. Male and female competitors in ten weight classes will compete for the top Olympic-style boxing titles.

With 17 medals, including four golds, six silvers, and seven bronzes, India enters this year’s finals ranked inside the top five in the global medal standings, building on the success of the first edition in 2024, which included stages in England, the USA, and Mongolia before the Finals in England. “Holding the World Boxing Cup Finals reflects how far Indian boxing has come, not just in performance but in our ability to stage world-class events,” stated Ajay Singh, President of the Boxing Federation of India, in a statement marking the event.

“We’ve developed processes over the last few years that often result in international medalists, and this event gives us the chance to demonstrate that development domestically. It’s a turning point for both our fighters and ourselves. The Indian men’s team finished with six medals at the 2025 World Boxing Cup’s first stage in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, with Hitesh Gulia’s gold in the 70kg division serving as the tournament’s high point. Jadumani Singh (50 kg), Manish Rathore (55 kg), Sachin Siwach (60 kg), and Vishal (90 kg) each took home bronze medals, while Abhinash Jamwal (65 kg) finished with a silver medal.

The Cup’s second stage was transferred to Poland, and its third stage was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, where the best national elite women’s boxers from India competed. Sakshi Chaudhary (54 kg), Jasmine Lamboria (57 kg), and Nupur Sheoran (80+ kg) made waves by taking home gold medals each, while emerging sensation Minakshi Hooda (48 kg) and seasoned Pooja Rani (80 kg) took home silver and bronze, respectively, while Sanju Khatri (60 kg) took home bronze. In the top men’s division, Jugnoo Ahlawat joined the podium finishers with a silver, while Hitesh and Abhinash each added a silver to their World Boxing Cup medal totals. Bronze medals were won by Nikhil Dubey (75 kg) and Narender Berwal (90+ kg).
