IGNOU opens online and ODL admissions for the July 2025 session

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has declared that enrolment in its online and open and distance learning (ODL) programmes would open in July 2025. Certificates, diplomas, post-graduate diplomas, undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including the arts, sciences, commerce, humanities, journalism and mass communication, computer and information science, agriculture, health sciences, Indian and foreign languages, translation studies, and more, are among the many academic programs available.

One of IGNOU’s main benefits is that there is no maximum age limit for applicants, therefore students of all ages can enroll in higher education. Furthermore, in accordance with UGC regulations, students may concurrently pursue two degrees or diploma programs: one via traditional mode and one via distance learning, or both via distance learning. IGNOU provides a 50% fee exemption for students in SC/ST categories for a few programs, including Bachelor of Arts (BAG), Bachelor of Commerce (BCOMF), and Bachelor of Science (BSCM).

Additionally, the admissions procedure is made simpler by the fact that applicants do not need to present a Transfer Certificate from their prior university. Until July 15, 2025, interested applicants may apply online at https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. For assistance or additional information, students can get in touch with the IGNOU Regional Centre, Port Blair, located at VIP Road, Opposite Air Cargo Complex, Port Blair – 744103.
