Howrah-Mumbai mail lost railway track, and several people lost lives and the rest were injured
Two people were killed and twenty were injured after 18 compartments of the Howrah to Mumbai passenger train accidently left tracks an hour ago near Jharkhand’s Chakradharpur site. Railway officials declared that the incident happened when the goods train lost tracks and merged with the Howrah to Mumbai Mail passing by the opposite side. Injured passengers were immediately taken to the nearby Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur.
For the incident that took place, the Indian Railways declined all five trains, including Howrah-Titalgarh to Kantabanji Express, Kharagpur to Jhargram to Dhanbad Express, Howrah to Barbil to Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express, Tatanagar to Itwari Express, and LTT to Express.
On July 18, four people were killed and about twenty people were injured after many compartments of the Dibrugarh Express lost their tracks in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda.
Mamata Banerjee, the West Bengal chief minister, questioned the Centre, saying, “These nightmares are happening almost every week, this unending file of deaths and injuries on railway tracks: Now, how many days will this keep going?
