HDFC Bank announces 10-bed ICU at GB Pant Hospital in Andaman & Nicobar Islands
To boost healthcare services in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, HDFC Bank has inaugurated a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at GB Pant Hospital under its CSR initiative, #Parivartan. The new ICU is expected to enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide advanced critical care, particularly benefiting rural and underprivileged populations.
The ICU is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology, including ventilators, multipara monitors, defibrillators, and more, ensuring timely and effective care for patients. This upgrade is anticipated to improve the hospital’s ability to handle emergencies and reduce mortality rates.
Ms. Nusrat Pathan, Head CSR at HDFC Bank, emphasized the bank’s commitment to healthcare, stating, “This ICU reflects our dedication to providing critical healthcare services, particularly in underserved areas. We are hopeful that it will significantly strengthen the local healthcare infrastructure.”The inauguration was attended by key officials, including A&N Administration’s Chief Secretary, Mr. Keshav Chandra, and senior health department representatives. HDFC Bank, a leading CSR contributor, spent ₹945.31 crore on various initiatives nationwide in FY2023-24, reaching over 10 crore beneficiaries.
