Guru Ki Rasoi of Port Blair runs a successful dermatology camp in Swaraj Dweep

Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi (PBGKR) successfully finished a one-day dermatology camp at the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Swaraj Dweep (Havelock), providing 35 patients from the neighborhood with necessary dermatological care. In order to meet the increasing demand for easily accessible healthcare in rural areas, this project was carried out in partnership with the Directorate of Health Services (DHS). Under the direction of Dr. Arisha Salam, the camp offered thorough skin examinations, consultations, and treatments, guaranteeing that each patient received individualized attention and pertinent medical advice.
The community responded well to the event, highlighting how important these healthcare services are in island communities. The success of the camp was ensured by Dr. Arisha Salam and a committed team from DHS and PBGKR. In expressing his delight, PBGKR President and Founder Mr. Mandeep Grewal said, “The camp has not only improved the health and well-being of the patients but also raised awareness about dermatological issues and the significance of timely medical intervention.” He also thanked Dr. Arisha Salam and DHS for their commitment and essential support. PBGKR is still dedicated to carrying out its goal of helping and uplifting the community by hosting similar health camps in the future.
