Grand Mahakumbh Mela 2025: A&N Administration invites cultural groups to take part

Teerthraj Prayagraj will host the much-anticipated Grand Mahakumbh Mela from January 13, 2025, starting on Paush Purnima, and ending on February 26, 2025, Mahashivratri. The Kumbh Mela, also called the “Sarvasiddhipradaha Kumbh” or “the bestower of all siddhis,” is a significant occasion in Indian tradition and is revered for its spiritual and cultural significance. UNESCO has named the Kumbh Mela a “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” in honor of its cultural significance.
The Union Territory’s pavilion at the Mahakumbh Mela is now being set up by the A&N Administration, which hopes to highlight the area’s rich cultural legacy. The administration has requested that registered local cultural groups indicate their interest in presenting cultural programs during the event in order to increase participation.
The Director (Art & Culture), Cellular Jail Complex, Atlanta Point, Sri Vijaya Puram, is the address to which interested groups should send their written applications. The deadline for submissions is January 9, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Local cultural artists have a rare chance to participate in one of the biggest spiritual events in the world.
