Demi Moore says ‘aging is actually a huge gift’, opens up about Oscar loss

Moore believes things are “very different” today than they were before. “I think there’s a feeling of things being over at a certain point, while the reality is we’re evolving, it’s not over,” she said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Speaking at the Time100 summit, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress said, “I’ve also thought about this idea recently that aging and getting old are not the same thing.
And somehow we’ve gotten confused about that and aging is actually a huge gift.” She further added, “I wouldn’t change it — you couldn’t pay me to be 21. As great as that sounds, it’s torture!” she said.
She shared that she is in a “peaceful place of acceptance and freedom.”
Actress Mikey Madison won the Best Actress award at the Oscars 2025. Moore shared that if she could see herself on the stage of the Dolby Theatre in the future, after losing the Best Actress award to Madison.
“I think it would be cool. I can’t say I’d be upset about it,” Moore said, “The question is, ‘Should I have won?’ That’s definitely not my perspective because I didn’t win.
And I really believe in the idea that everything in life is happening for me, not to me,” according to the outlet. She added, “Of course, there’s frustration. I immediately recognize that there’s something bigger than me that I have to serve, even if I don’t know what that is.
” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Moore further explained, “The message here is that there’s still work to be done, this issue is not over yet.”
