Delhi Government to Sign MoU with Centre on April 10 for Ayushman Bharat Rollout

The Delhi government is set to partner with the central government to bring the Ayushman Bharat health scheme to the nation’s capital. On April 10, the two authorities will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a collaborative effort to implement this flagship healthcare initiative in Delhi.
Ayushman Bharat, also known as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), aims to provide accessible healthcare to economically vulnerable sections of society. It offers financial protection for secondary and tertiary healthcare services, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive quality treatment without incurring heavy costs.
This move is expected to pave the way for improved healthcare services for residents of Delhi, especially for those in need of financial support for medical treatments. It reflects a significant step in addressing healthcare access and affordability in the region.
